Before I had the chance to do anything American today, I got out of bed and headed to the kitchen. I was well excited when I opened my eyes this morning because I knew what was for breakfast: a traditional English FRY UP! Mmmmm. The first week I was here, I nearly gagged at the thought of having baked beans for breakfast...now, a huge breakfast seems incomplete without them. So, I have the baked beans and then....here we go...the Bacon Butty (sandwich). Which, I thought was a "Bacon Buddy" until about a week ago (to me, it makes more sense, bacon is always your friend). Right, so toasted bread, buttered with some bacon and a layer of "Brown Sauce." Which, to me, tastes like a mixture of bbq and ketchup, with a little vinegar zing. It's hard to describe. Sooo good. Last but not least, scrabbled eggs...oh, and a cuppa tea.
