Day 7 (1 Week)

"And the answer is....." Tonight some of us went to a PUB QUIZ! In true English tradition, random trivia in a bar. What you do is grab some of your mates, an answer sheet, and form a team. Then, listen in for the questions distributed by hosts of the night. There are multiple rounds with different categories, etc. Tonight, the theme of the quiz was Christmas so we listened to some Christmas songs backwards, guessed the names of famous Christmas movies with clues given in the form of a haiku, guessed the amount of turkey consumed in the UK on Christmas Day, etc. Needless to say, it gets a bit competitive wherever/ whoever you're playing with. Another realization I've had since being here: Americans aren't the only competitive ones. No, our team (The J. Beebs) didn't win tonight....
but its not always about winning, is it?

  1. I used to do Trivia Nights back in the day. I have a whole headful of useless knowledge that kind of comes in handy for trivia. I've gotten too old to stay out so late on weekdays, though. There's actually a group in Columbia that organizes trivia nights for multiple bars and posts scores online and stuff. Kind of ridiculous actually.

Oh and P.S. The J.Beebs is not a winning team name. I mean, REALLY?
